- If you could sum up The Defiant One in three words, what would they be?
- Imaginative, sexy and fun!
- What did you like best about this story?
- I liked the entire story. The hero was smart, handsome and capable, but with a very real obstacle to overcome. The heroine was, in her own eyes, less than perfect, but with a huge heart and loved animals. Although neither was interested in a relationship, the author used a very interesting ‘motivator’ and employed the hero’s matchmaking older brother to help the situation along.
- Have you listened to any of David Stifel’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
- I have listened to Mr. Stifel’s narration of the first two books in this series. This third book is his best so far!! His performance of the wry, self-assured, aristocratic matchmaking brother, Lucien, is absolutely perfect. He excels at emotionality and pacing a story. I can’t wait to listen to the fourth book!!
- Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
- I wanted to listen in one sitting, yes, but the book was almost 12 hours long, so was not able to.
- Any additional comments?
- This book was a lot of fun! Having already read the entire series, I was very familiar with the characters and loved hearing them performed.
