This audio book was so fun to listen to. The narrators did a great job! I enjoyed the combo of quick attraction between Law and Carlie when they met on vacation, which then moved into a slow burn as Carlie opened up about her struggles to trust after what had happened to her. It was difficult to see Carlie begin to spiral with her fears and concerns about her employer, Chad. And Law was so patient and understanding with her even when she wouldn’t let her suspicions go.
The author did a good job of infusing enough strange clues to give Carlie’s ideas some merit, while also adding a bit of mystery to whether Carlie was onto something.
I loved getting to dive back into the world of Pumas football and seeing characters I had gotten to know in The Comeback. I also loved the wonderful epilogue and bonus epilogue!
