As someone who is not a gamer, and completely new to the LitRPG genre, I worried that I might not find this book appealing.
I am so happy to say that I worried needlessly!
I found myself being pulled into the action seamlessly and very quickly upon starting this book, despite my lack of familiarity with video games.
I had an absolutely grand time with this story.
It was entertaining, fun to read and listen to, and the storyline promises so much more excitement and adventure (as well as the all important reveals!) in the future volumes in the series. (The author has said that he planned to make this a 10 book series.)
Princess Donut was adorable, too…without question.
Congratulations to the author for following his dreams, creating and self-publishing these stories, and only later being signed by a large publisher.
He’s a reminder to all of us about how important it is to dream on… and on, and on, until we get to see all our dreams realized.
