The story overall was great. A nice suspense dark story. Had a nice plot twist at the end. The spice was good. The narration was very good. Then the romance/connection between the 2 main characters….this is where the author lost a star with me. I didn’t feel a deep connection between the two leads. Seems that most of their connection was just based on sex.. Which would be fine except it doesn’t explain how he went so far and beyond to save her If there wasn’t love. So the story basically checked all the boxes except the romance box. I needed a little bit more of a love relationship between the two main characters. It’s still a good book and I do recommend.
