The family goes on the road in this one heading towards the country and out of the city since it’s getting dangerous at their home.

They get attacked on the road a few times, that was good and well written. Somehow though their truck gets shot up on like 5 different occasions and never has any issues. They can somehow get ‘peppered with rounds; over and over and over again and all it does it dent the fender or poke a hole in a gas can apparently.

The ‘bad guys’ start to make a big appearance in this book and of course they are completely evil ridiculous caricatures similar to ‘the Governor’ in the Walking Dead TV show. Overall they are completely unrealistic characters who are evil just for the sake of it(or the story).

I mean if you liked the first 2 go ahead and keep reading, but be warned the bad things in book 2 are even more noticable in this book, and spoiler alert they get EVEN worse in book 4 and worse still in book 5. They aren’t horrible books but the negatives get even more pronounced with every release. Somehow things go perfectly well for this family over and over and over again and they somehow manage to make it out of the situation unharmed in any way without having to break their precious morals or shoot many people.

The narrator is still great though.
