This one hit different.
Still has the chaos and humor—those screaming goats had me laughing—but this is the first book that actually got to me. That early letter from the brawler? Yeah… wasn’t expecting to feel that.
There are still plenty of ridiculous moments, but the tone is shifting. The dungeon feels meaner, more personal, and the stakes hit harder.
And then there’s Hecklah… not gonna spoil it, but that caught me completely off guard.
This book balances funny and heavy in a way the first two didn’t. Took me on more of a ride than I expected.
Definitely hooked. On to the next one.
