Still trying; probably a DNF

*SPOILERS*

I love an age gap, I love some BDSM (when done right), I love a bossy alpha MMC, I can deal with the virgin FMC, I can stomach the occasional cheesy pet name.
But so much of this is multilevel Cringe. MMC is a Neanderthal and openly commits SA, all mixed up with the gratuitous use of “Baby Girl” in the worst way. FMC literally tells him no, she’s going to call the cops and have him arrested for SA, but then still many to be guilted into falling into bed with him – after he kidnaps her- TWICE. Romanticizing abuse all over.
The narrators are okay, but don’t fit the characters at all. This is not in duet format but is a dual POV which makes it even more jarring because the grunting ape tries to sound like a 21 y/o barista and it does not work. And this is all just in the first few chapters. I’m going to have to stop for a while. May or may not pick this back up. Wish I hadn’t wasted a credit.
