I’ve enjoyed all the books thus far in this series. This book however I enjoyed most. Part of me wishes the last few chapters were more, or longer, but I also get it, I don’t know what’s next for Omega Force, with series I tend to not read what the book is about so I don’t form preconceived notions about anything, and I take it as a pleasant surprise. (Or not 🙂 ) this series has been very pleasant, although the main character, Captain J. Occasionally, or in some books it was be more apt to say frequently , Cap gets on my last nerve. I’m sure Joshua created him to a this roguish Captain, a sole human in a vast universe of aliens, apparently some of them very hot, but he’s often just an asshat. That probably makes him frustratingly endearing, but honestly I’d just want to slap him upside his head. Anyway, if you have made it this far, (in the series not my review) I encourage to spend the credit or coin, this is quite the good listen. Very enjoyable. I have reached the conclusion that Joshua D is quite the prolific SF author, particularly in the military SF space. Extremely talented is how I view him. The narrator stands among the best narrators in Audibleland. Granted he doesn’t have snarky AI’s to replicate, but the narrator does a quite remarkable job is giving a sense of real existence to the characters in this book and is outstandingly consistent in how each character speaks and does that so well as if they were not only the main character in the book, but the only character in the book. I have often wondered how the really good narrators do that. This guy does it in spades, and truly is responsible for half of the 5 stars I have given each book thus far.
So I encourage you go ahead and buy this one, I truly believe you will enjoy it as much as I.
