In the previous 6 books, with as fast as everything happens, we normally get a chapter or two where Carl and Donut or others debrief. This book doesn’t focus on making sure you’re following along. That’s okay, this is war, war won’t slow down to make you comfortable, but I was unprepared for the amount of different, and seemingly important, situations the gang would be apart of. Almost started over to get a grip on everything that was happening, but spark notes saved the day. Super entertaining as always and while Jeff isn’t my goat narrator, he did awesome as well.
