First and foremost Matt Diniman is a horror writer. Don’t ask for things or he’ll grant them in ways you almost definitely don’t want. I got so lost in the book I was taking the story personally at a few points. It was also less heartbreaking than the last few in the series but still solid writing. I need book 9&10 now though.
