Carl’s Doomsday Scenario was a welcome change of pace. While there was some of the grinding I expected, much of the book was devoted to a couple of classic (for those of us who game) simple sounding quests that ended up blooming into much more complexity.

The character work was a step up from the first book, and the climax was brilliantly handled. It’s rare I start the next book of a series the same way I finish one, but since it’s 9:53 AM as I write this review and I’m very hyped up for the next entry, I think I’ll be starting book three today.

An absolute must read.
