The second book in the series steps up the action and wildness as Carl and Doughnut venture into the third floor. As the entirety of this book unfolds over the shortened time they have on the third floor, we get the same antics and crazy scenarios from the first book, while also beginning to build out the bigger story happening outside the dungeon. We’re also introduced to quests within the game and I’m amazed at how the author creates these quest stories that are so detailed that you feel like you’re in another book entirely. The only warning I’ll give is that I did notice that this one seems to step up the gore a bit more in certain chapters than the last one so be prepared for that. Otherwise, you’ll love this as much as the last one!
