Book 6 took me for a ride and left me an emotional mess. The ending of book 5 started pulling at my heartstrings and became so much more than the chaos this story started as. And this book and level was pure mayhem.
Quick recap, Pony broke level 7 before any of the Crawlers could do much but enter the level. They’re all immediately tossed down to level 8 and the AI is taking over. The memory ghosts was a cruel way to attempt to break the crawlers. But I love how Carl handled it and kept fighting.
I’m loving the sending of friendship and family that is being built between these characters. I’m fully invested into this story. I love that Carl is calling out those treating this Dungeon like a simple game instead of realizing what is really happening. There were big secrets revealed and the AI is making big changes. I can’t wait for the next book.
And honestly, Jeff Hayes was once again perfection while narrating. He deserves all the awards for the mastery that is this world via audiobook.
