This book made me go through an emotional roller-coaster… we went from agony to ecstasy, from laughing hysterically to crying, or sobbing would be more accurate… yeah, I went through all that.
I knew I would love Harlow, there was absolutely no question there. What I didn’t know was how much tho. This book took that love I had for him and multiplied it times a million. Harlow deserves the world. He is such a strong baby girl that could be too much sometimes, but not for me. He is one of my fav characters I’ve read about in a long time and I would give a lot of things to be able to read his story again for the first time.
Bailey is a sweetheart, a wounded one, but a sweetheart nonetheless. Now, I won’t lie, while I do love him, my love for Harlow is greater and I had moments when I wanted to punch Bailey for the way he was hurting my baby girl. I get where he was coming from, I really do, and this is why I didn’t let those moment define the way I feel about him, but dang it was a battle.
This story can be read as a standalone, but I do recommend reading them in order since it gives the overall story more depth. We get to see how Har and Bailey first met in book one from an objective POV and then when we start this book we get to see what they felt/thought. I love that we got all this. Also, it will give both characters time to grow and see them from who they were before meeting each other to now, again, it adds depth… imho.
I loved the plot of the book and I am curious how this will all play out since we know how Blaise acted… the overall plot thickens, if you want, and I love that.
I said this in my review for book one and I will say it again… I CAN’T MOVE ON FROM HOW DIMITRI SHOWS UP FOR HIS MAN OVER AND OVER AGAIN. OMG, YES, YES, YES.
The visits in Hell are getting more dramatic with every book and I love we get to see more of Ferry. Hello you sexy beast. I can’t wait for your book.
Onto the next one, I need to read about Mori finally getting his HEA ASAP.
