Again, I don’t feel like the narrators are doing the characters justice. At this point, I’m mostly pushing through the series so I can get to the rest of Jahquel’s catalogue, which I usually love.
It also doesn’t help that the chapters on Kindle aren’t labelled with character names. At the start of each chapter, I find myself trying to remember who’s who, who’s connected to who, who has a child with who, who has siblings, who’s sleeping with who behind who’s back lol
It feels like everyone is linked in some way… or involved with each other, which just adds to the confusion. I’m honestly not sure how I feel about this series so far—but onto book 3.
The storyline it-self is ok. I’m hoping for less of a whirlwind in book 3.
