Coming off Monstrous, it was hard to listen to Joel Leslie narrate Lily’s books, since Michael Lesley blew me away with all his character voices. But ultimately Joel rises to the occasion and when the action happens you are completely sucked in. The book is a little on the slow side with pacing in the middle, but a lot of that has to do with setting the stage for the end. And boy does the end deliver. This ends on a cliffhanger, not a HFN. The turn at the end is devastating for a romance fan, and I know that the next book will NOT be easy on Ash and Lonen. Lily always delivers with her books and this is no exception. 10/10
