Okay, I genuinely do not know how this series keeps getting better, but here we are, seven books in, and I am more obsessed than ever. The 9th floor hits different, the faction wars are absolute chaos in the best way possible, and Carl? Carl is out here making decisions that had me equal parts cheering and covering my eyes. I laughed, I stress-ate snacks, and I may have said “oh no” out loud more than once. This is the kind of book that makes you forget you have responsibilities.

If you’ve made it this far in the series, you already know what you’re signing up for, and this installment does not disappoint. The scale feels bigger, the stakes feel realer, and somehow the humor and the gut punches land even harder than before. I finished it faster than I care to admit and immediately started mourning the wait for the next one.
