if you like litRPG and if you enjoy books from an intelligent animal POV, (like the Children of Time series or David Brin’s Uplift series), and you don’t mind a comedic tone, these are for you.
There’s just one problem, at least for me…

The narrators are excellent, if you know Jeff Hays from his work on Dungeon Crawler Carl, you know he’s a freak of nature, and this series has the same level of production quality.
But he voices the main protagonist in a very hammy English accent, and this, combined with the author’s peculiar choice to avoid any conventional profanity in favor of anachronistic sounding, G rated expletives, (Holy Moly! What the heck?! Gosh darned!), gives the narration a kidsy, cartoonish feel that tonally clashes with the violence of the story, (it’s basically just monsters killing and eating each other in gory detail, but you’re afraid to say “go to hell, asshole”)?
Maybe the author is Mormon or something.

The histrionic narration does calm down eventually, and once more characters are introduced, and you get used to the granny swears, it’s pretty fun.
