I enjoyed that the central character, Lauren, seems very realistic. The plot was more authentic than many post-apocalyptic novels. The author is definitely teeing up for future releases. The character introduction and development seems really fresh. The bad guys are really bad and the good guys do struggle with “new ethics”.
I do like Kevin Pierce’s narration. I look forward to more in this series.
