I wanted to love it. I listened to the whole thing. You get 13 hours of what seemed like could have been covered in like 6 chapters and you still have not one character that develops much at all.
Also I know the audio version is what everyone raves about but I could not stop hearing that guy that used to be on all the sitcom’s who plays a over masculine cop, can’t remember his name and Phil Dumphey. I’m sure it has a niche but it was not the profound story that everyone is making it out to be. I’m also not one to think that books have to be tied to the series, they should each be able to stand on their own. If I have to read the next book in order to get it then that’s just a soap opera.
