So,

I read this on a recommendation from my brother. I thought it might be fun. Boy was I wrong. It wasn’t fun. It was wonderfully super fantastic and I hate hyperbole and superlatives.

The story isn’t quite a 5 star rating which is what I gave it. If I could I would have likely given it 4.5. Only because a couple of places I thought the pacing was slightly off. But what a nit pick this is on my part.

THe story is extremely well done and the world is well thought out. But as good as Matt Dinimon is as a story teller, the narration by Jeff Hays will completely blow you away.

I have found audible books have 3 broad categories of Narration.

Narration that does no harm to the story. Narration that detracts from the book either because of the voice you had in your head prior or the narrator wasn’t really skilled enough.

Then you have narration like this where not only does it do the story justice it adds a dimension you just don’t get by plane text.

Whatever your thoughts on audible books or just reading get this book!
