I totally enjoyed this listen from beginning to end. It was full funny, witty, and just different. There were a few things that were exaggerated or far reaching, but yet that was part of the humor. And, even the conflict between the main characters was something that could have been easily resolved. But, again, it was so much fun watching it work itself out. I felt like I was on the edge of humor throughout the whole story. Even the parts that were more serious still had a overlying feel of sarcastic humor, or the heightening of drama. I loved the characters, even the side characters.
And, Joe Froomkin was outstanding! My first time listening to him. But, he really performed each character so well. Was totally impressed with his first person POV female sections. And, the humor delivery was perfect. At one point I had to stop and get off my elliptical before I fell off, I was laughing so hard. At first he reminded me of Keanu Reeves. So, I kept seeing Neo from the Matrix as the main character. And, the driver sounded like Bill Clinton. I bet he’s great with impersonations. He definitely has a nice range of character voices and accents, both male and female. And, he used them to bring some very funny and eccentric characters to life. Just a fun, fun, listen.
This book was provided as a RC, and I am so glad I gave this one a go!
