I happen to know that Mr. Horton struggles with writing this one, as I follow his social media and he has admitted so. That being said, his struggles definitely paid off! He did this series justice that it so richly deserves. Conor McGuire is the star of the series for sure and I absolutely love the character. But I also value the others as well. Barb is my spirit animal and I want to just hug Ragus. Somehow, Ricardo, I think I would enjoy a game of chess with and I don’t even play! Book 12 has me absolutely loving Havoc though! Her joyful and gleeful accomplishments and her excitement! I always listen to this series in audible, so hats off to Kevin Pierce for his narration and many voices. I also order a paperback for my dad. We enjoy talking about the characters and the stories. As I write this, my dad is on home hospice and I pray that he will be able to finish this one. This is the first time that he hasn’t beaten me to the finish line. This is, I am sure his last one as well, so thank you Franklin Horton for providing bonding materials for my daddy and myself!
