i love DCC so i gave this a try. i really liked it.

it feels like diversion and change of pace for the author as DCC enters its 8th book of 10.

Bouncehouse shares some common DNA with DCC in its central conceit and i think that is to the story’s detriment. even so, it is a more intimate story wkth charming characters. the narration is solid.

then the endong happens and my goodness. on one hand it is a “happy” ending bit on the other it leaves a host of likely possabilities that are horrifying….like in a Cosmic Horro sense where the reader is left feeling utterly small and inconsequential by knowing what they now know and can guess what happens next.

i hope this is a one off book. while where could be sequels to this, i think Bounehouse has told the story it needs to tell. there is something to be said for that, let Bouncehouse speak for itself. it is worth the time.
