This is a YA novel. Every character acts and thinks like a 12 year old boy. This is particularly noticable in the constant streams of the F word used in exclamations.
Further, there are endless soliloquies and speeches that are meant to be emotional, they end up sounding like a high school pep rally. I was not kidding when I said every character thinks and acts like a 12yo boy.
I just can’t stress this enough: middle aged woman, thinks and behaves like a 12yo boy, middle aged bounty hunter, thinks and acts like a 12 yo boy. I’m fact, I have no choice but to conclude, that every character is what the narrator (also a 12yo boy) thinks the characters are thinking. the narrator decided to “spice things up” by reinterpreting events though his eyes.
The voice actor does a good job.
