I didn’t love the book. It took me so many months to finish it. I just couldn’t stay interested in the storyline. I did like the female lead, but the male lead audio was not my favorite. I probably won’t continue the series.
I enjoyed everything about this book! It was well written and well narrated . I won’t read book narrated by AI , they don’t sound right and there is no talent involved. I could feel the characters emotions and see the ” scenes”. The story held my interest.

I think Calista is slow. She doesn’t seem like she’s working with a full deck of cards. I must say this is one of my favourite pirate fantasies I have listened to. Clare really knows how to write a fantastic FMC, through the series you can see how Vee has grown by the end of this book. Must say the narrators of the audiobook did a great job with all the characters..

Even better than Tenebris series! Avice has such an awesome story, I listened to the entire first book in one sitting.
The vivid language that described the characters, scenes from RI and action were authentic and made me feel like I was witnessing the story unfold. 5 stars for keeping my interest throughout and the author’s first novel.
