Compelling story with LeCarre like tradecraft descriptions but in the modern time. Excellent book and excellent audio recording.

The debt, violence, and drug addiction in the USA is alarming. Mr. Akart wrote a story about the possible consequences of that with no swearing, (very much appreciated) and much information about water storage, food storage, and security. This was rated as one of the best spy books on a few sites I researched before buying on audible. The story is painfully slow, the characters are undeveloped and come in and out with very little reference to their role in the story. I tried my best, but decided to give up.

Nice distraction and a good way to pass the time while driving. Easy to follow and keep up with characters

I feel like these first two books could have been combined into one, but such is the nature of audiobooks.
