Had a plot in addition to the romance and the narration was great. Easy listening.

A big improvement over Damascus Station, McCloskey spins a modern classic of the genre. As with many great spy novels, there’s a moment here where the game gets flipped and the prior action needs to be read in reverse, which I love. Tight and suspenseful. Well done over all.

It’s nice to read a post apocalyptic military zombie story that has the correct phonetic and military terms. The story is 13/10, definitely suggest.
With enemies to lovers not being my thing, I knew that this was going to be a tough sell for me. And sadly I was correct in that assessment. I just couldn’t stop rolling my eyes while reading. I went in hoping that with the cozy, snowed in forced proximity that we’d get some tension..
So far I’ve read the first three. All have been so intense. I couldn’t put them down. My emotions were all over the place. A story that makes you feel all of the feels is a great story.
