Loved the story. The emotional journey of “Mick” from young idealist Marine to jaded Veteran to somber and grateful Veteran, father and husband.
The author has painted some of the characters and experience with a complicated cast of antagonists that manage to collide in a story that is on par with some of the classic authors from the cold War period. Great story.
It was a good story but so much was unfinished like is there a part two or something cause I was just left with so many questions
Mari Carr pens another fabulous novel set in her “Wilder Irish” series, and she turns up the heat for this trifecta of a romance, between Finn, Miguel and Layla. After breaking off a long-term relationship, Layla left Philadelphia and her overprotective Moretti brothers to start over in Baltimore, the place she spent her younger years…
Great tale depicting modern day Russia and USA intelligence. Love this writer. Damascus station was great too
This book was a fun adventure. It moves quickly from story to story. Some are touching, others funny, while others are filled with emotion. My favorite audiobooks are ones like this that I can get into without spending hours trying to keep up. The man reading has an edge. My favorites are the darker ones..
A great cast, an interesting horse motif, and a plot that sounds justifiably plausible! I think I may have enjoyed Damascus Station a bit more, though this a strong follow up.
This book is awful. Chapter 1: privileged suburban individuals, blocked off neighborhood from zombies and any survivors, kills children, makes fun of and mocks a preacher and religion, while laughing, and having fun. chapter 2: more killing human not zombie children…. Lots of them. Started off terrible and just continues. Don’t waste your credits.
