I liked this story.It was after the emp hits ‘lite’. The Amish was a nice touch.Everything went way too smoothly. Andrew B Wehrlen was a wonderful narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I like that the author, a former, didn’t in update the audience with an over abundance of tech, or “tradecraft” jargon. Of course, it felt authentic, and there’s on big surprise that I wasn’t expecting. There should have been more. The production is good, but could have been better- some of the time-breaks were rushed..

The storyline was lame. I didn’t care for the narrators voice and I kept falling asleep. It just couldn’t keep my interest.

I’m a fan of this author but I’ve never bought her audiobooks because the narrators for my favorite series don’t work for me. I was happy to have a different and new narrator for this one. I didn’t mind the darkness of this story but the narration of Aspen was hard to listen to. It’s breathy the while way through. I said I wasn’t gonna listen to book two but the cliff hanger got me.
