There’s SO MANY CHARACTERS in this story. And every character has an animal companion, so every scene has about a dozen different names in it. Nobody gets any characterization so it’s hard to keep track of what is happening to who.These are supposedly members of Royalty, yet the actual citizenry only matters when it’s convenient..

This was a good addition to the Five Roads saga. Ian and his crew are leaving El Paso, trying to reach another safe house. Along the way, they encounter survivors, military (US and enemy) and, of course, Zombies! There is a lot of action, a bunch of new characters and DOGS! I loved the addition..

This was a very good book.I am not sure why an American narrator was chosen.I think a English accent would have worked better.Andre B Wehrlen is a wonderful narrator,though he spoke too fast in most places.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.’
