At first, I was a little weary about the beginning of the pair of books, but holy moly. I read a lot of bratva. And let me tell you- this one had me in a choke hold. And I didn’t see a lot of it coming. Highly recommend

Maybe it was the bland narration or the numbing level of detail. The setting in Syria should have been compelling because the real story there is at least that, but this book misses it.
