I really enjoyed this book. I’ve read several of the Hobson Hills books by this author and thought I would give this one a try. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the book. It was not your typical “shifter” book. I hope you will give it a listen.

I really wanted to like this book, I thought the premise was cool. I listened for the first third or so before I had to stop. The narrator was completely distracting – every sentence has weird pauses and stops, and the accents are horrible stereotypes. The race of aliens is somehow just like humans. 5..
Perhaps not quite as good as book 2 in my opinion, and where is book 1? Still an excellent choice if you like plenty of action and drama with engaging characters!

It seems like that is the last book in the series, but I hope not. The series is a bit different in that the zombies don’t immediately take over the whole world as in so many books. I think this allowed for some more interesting scenarios. Great stuff!

I had thought that the jump forward in years and change of main characters might be a problem, but this book is a great listen on it’s own merits. Looking forward to book 3!
