Slow and dragging. I get it. It suppose to show a family pre ww3 then shtf in an instant. But the family, lobster and other stuff is just plain drag.

This book brings a nightmare scenario which is so alarming because it is so believable! Super volcano? “ Climate change”? Gamma ray burst? Asteroid hit? Megaquake? “Aftermath” is an order of magnitude more likely. We came close to nuclear Armageddon at least twice in the Cold War. The risk is much higher now? Will man..
Enjoyed learning about the men who enlisted in the Marines, and the process of making them into marines. Towards the end of the book, the author imbues more politics. Enjoyed the first half more.
well I have liked bobby akarts books since almost the beginning he has always been able to come up with the right story line and plot to keep people interested if not hooked
I’m sure a lot of research went into this book and I hate giving bad reviews, but I am literally on chapter 47 with 1.5 hours left in the book and the author is still giving info dumps on lobster fishing and some couple getting married? I am beginning to doubt many of the positive..
The narratorsndidnwhat they could, but the book wasn’t that good. The idea of the plot was ok, could have been much better. It felt like there was no emotion in the book at all, went from one sex scene to the next with barely any interaction between the characters outside of kink.
this is a great series, i have read and listened to these book a couple of times they get better every time. hopefully she will ut the rest of the series on audio soon
Dang it, Bobby! You left us hanging off of a humongously tall cliff again! This is an absolute barn burner and it’s giving me the same vibes that “Yellowstone, “Pandemic” and “Geostorm” did when I read/listened to them the first time (I’ve listened to them multiple times). Everything about it is in the best Bobby..
