The story was fine. Nothing special, cute characters decently developed and good descriptions of the beauty of Colorado and Estes Park. The breathy, high pitched narrator almost had me stop listening to it in the first two minutes, though. This was supposedly a 38-year old woman? Sounded more like a tween breathlessly relaying stories to..
Loved how the author expresses the feelings of girls/ women making it in sports and careers that are dominated by boys/men. Having the main character work through those feelings and still be able to fall in love with and respect a man, all while achieving and pursuing her professional goals was very empowering! Also mixed..
So the first thing is the main character is about as forgiving as they come with a man who genuinely loves her but yet she spouts non-judge mentalism to everyone else. This is a very liberal slanted book for those of you who would care… Ridiculous storyline that takes place about the secret of one..
This is one of her best books yet! Very personal to the main chacharacter. I like that! Ready for her next book.
I’ve been looking for more cozy mysteries as a palate cleanser between some of the darker thrillers and true crime audiobooks and this looked like it would fit. it would be more believable is she were a valley girl and just deliberately “ditzifying” herself. I have to decide whether it’s even with it to finish the last hour and a half of this book. The mc has no redeeming quantities other than she’s “nice”. That might not be so bad in an actual..
I expected something a little more mature. This book is more for late teens. A tree as the father– that was a bit too silly for me. Sadly, I didn’t finish the book.
Since you can listen to audiobooks no matter what you are doing, you can save time. I’ve always liked the “dummies” and “idiots” books. This one does not disappoint. I can listen to refresh my canning technique and make sure I am still doing it correctly. If you want to start canning, this is a..
