Great characters. Believable dialogue. Good plot. Never dull. One of the best series in the cozy mystery genre.
I have many of Lynn Cahoons series and I rate this one as #1. The growing situation and mysterious entanglements along the way keep you hook to the end—-and leaving you wanting more. Narrator Angie Hickman does a great job.
I have read most of Lynn Cahoons series and the “Kitchen Witch Mysteries” is the best. The storyline, characterizations, and the fun spirit of them is what makes it so enjoyable. I give this story and the series a 5/5. Angie Hickman has become the voice of this series and does an excellent job.
SERIUOSLY? The main character loses her ability to function when she sees a good looking man, I mean geez. I endured the whole book to give it a fair chance.
Gosh. I just love everything about this one. Theo was so endearing and Laney was the cutest. So sad the other two books in the series aren’t on Audible.
Thought story childlike, reader sounded like a teenager voice, even though character is 38. Very slow and petty for a grown woman.
The writing and story are superb. The narrator does the main character’s voice well but is wooden in the characters that aren’t as prevalent. Why wasn’t this addressed? Laurien Berenson’s stories deserve better. Even still, I want every one of these books in audio!
