Bite Club is a fun and entertaining cozy mystery with engaging characters and an entertaining plot. Melanie Travis and Aunt Peg are well developed characters and I always enjoy their antics. I’m also impressed that Laurien Berenson has continued this series for so long and continues to keep the series fresh and entertaining.
Lizzie Jones is getting her vet degree and living with her grandfather Jimmy John, a former network news correspondent, but she finds herself pet sitting to help pay the bills. This, of course, puts her into a precarious position when she discovers the dead body of one of her client’s husband. HIs fidelity is a..
This is supposed to be in the bayou but the guy sounds like he is from Canada and the girl has a very mechanical voice. The story was cute but because of those things it was hard to get through.
Sweet Home Louisiana by Erin Nicholas is a romantic comedy, part of the Boys of the Bayou series, full of hot women and hotter men. The story takes place on the bayou in Louisiana at the tour company, Boys of the Bayou, run by the Landry family. In a tragic twist of fate, one of..
After reading the first book in the Boys of the Bayou series, I couldn’t wait to find out more about the Landry family and Autry, Louisiana. This book did not disappoint!! Owen and Maddie have always made each other crazy in the best way, until Maddie decided to move to California for a fresh start…
struggled finishing this book it skipped alotnarrator sounds like a computer voice at least 2/3’s of the time
The story is great, but the narrator is TERRIBLE. Most of the characters have stilted voices like robots. it was barely tolerable, and I won’t pay for any books with this narrator again.
Story: I loved book 1. The story and narration were just swoony! Owen and Maddy’s story takes a little longer to get into but is still a solid second chance romance. There isn’t as much interaction with the family, which I missed, but we do learn more about the business and there’s a huge build..
The female narrator’s voice was not right for some of the characters. she voiced Kennedy who is 24 like she was an old woman. the male narrator was obviously doing Canadian rather than Cajun. not the same at all.
