I liked this one because it wasn’t so much about the Red Rose killer, I’m ready for him to be caught. This one had more exciting things going on. Less praying than the others, which seems more normal to me.

This book was listed as Suspense, but it was more mushy romance than suspense. The plot idea was good but the suspense was not developed and the dog’s role was underused. The narrator was not very good.

There is a lot more praying in this one than any of the others. The story kept you guessing, I never figured out the main culprit. The one I thought was it only played a minor role. I loved the kids & dogs places in the story. Great job Ms Black. Definitely worth listening too.

Great characters with love of country. This story shows how people jump to conclusions about others without knowing them or walking in their shoes. Lots of exciting action & mystery. Can’t wait for next one in series. I’m not a big fan of the narrator for this type of book.

Obviously this author has never served and did not have anyone fact check her book. It drove me crazy! Also the authors voice was irritating. I could only listen to about an hour of it before I moved on to a different book. I’m glad it was free!

Took a minute to get used to narrator, but the story didn’t waste time from one event to another. The attraction was strong but neither was sure of the other at first. I was a little disappointed that a better try at finding all the dogs wasn’t made than they did, but have a feeling..

What about words that really didn’t aid that much in the descriptions Dry slow moving. Very flowery

Twisty and atmospheric, and the narrator was fabulous! I loved the thread of folklore that ran through the story, and that ending was great!

This is another good book in this series. Fred (a girl) has to solve another murder to clear her friend Katie. These are good cozy mysteries. There easy to follow and it held my attention. Angie Hickman does a great job narrating this book.
