The ending sucks, to be honest it invests lots in getting you some place, then that some place isn’t a great deal of fun

the world is ending in the politeness between the father and son is ridiculous
Review from The Dark Road Series Collection →
This book sounds like Mike Brady from The Brady Bunch talking to his 10 year old son. The dad Ben and his interactions with his son Joel who is probably 16 or 17 is kind of ridiculous, so formal and not very realistic. I got to chapter 17 and I don’t know if I’m going..
glory is a spoiled brat and drove me nuts listening to the BS. made it through the first book and gave up on the second. too many holes like why don’t they talk about the dead bodies of the creatures (slicks) do their bodies disappear? they don’t say. just a disappointment the story was promising..
I dunno it was ok I suppose I’d be pretty pissed if I had directly paid for it tho (got it for free through audible plus) The weirdly cheery narration and light hearted dialogue really threw me for a loop and I had to take several breaks throughout the listening of this collection of books..
I wish the author worked more with the person reading because he’s just awful. There’s plenty of Japanese words that he just completely butchers and it makes listening to this book and absolute pain. It sounds like the most Americanized caricature version of Japanese words and it’s honestly just irritating to listen to. I know..
Nothing is happening…

I’m halfway through and just disappointed. Just repeating the same things over and over again. We dont need a play by play about how one by one you recruit each new member of faction a f then explain michaels backstory over and over again. The conversations are bland, the plot doesnt progress, and spending 2..
