Do detailed and rich one can experience firsthand the abject confusion and chaos of Civil War battles. Thankfully underlying strategies and tactical developments are artfully woven in with the firsthand accounts, Great book I had to read it twice.

It was a detailed and thoughtful study of not just MS or the south, but America. The ongoing racial issues are stark and transcendent region. They highlight privilege and race both constructs which are still very problematic and unfounded today in the American society.
The stories were intended to be in the Lovecraft world but were not compelling. The voice acting is not engaging. Not of the same caliber of original Lovecraft.
I recommend 1.2 speed, narration is laboroius after a while at normal speed. Interesting blend of mild dystopia, high school coming of age, progression fantasy, and AI what if. Character interaction was a bit weak in this first book, but supposedly gets better in later books. Progression feels a bit rushed once it gets going…
This book will be the “go-to” Antietam book for generations to come. Incredible well researched and written. Narration of the audiobook is fantastic as well
I can’t believe this book won any kind of award. The story and characters were a quite corny and hard to believe. Just another cheap shot at capitalism; as if big government is any less spooky than big corporate ooooooooh ooooooooooow!
it should have finished with a reunion. it leaves you with an unfinished feeling. other than that it’s okay
excellent story of how things went down in a pivotal time of history. not certain they make them like Yeager anymore. EXCELLENT!
