This is the first one of the series that I’ve really struggled to get through. Most of the book was uneventful and tedious, without much in the way of interesting conflict or world building. It got more interesting in the last few hours fortunately. I’ll still get the next one, but hope it’s better.
This author is so intelligent. Fascinating book. My only complaint is the reader sounded like a robot and the Author referenced some other books using their German name and the reader’s German was unintelligible.
Travis has made so many of these books. You’d think the cadence would follow the same kind of pacing as the 9 that come before it. And for 90% of the book, it does just that. However, we get some odd choices and some poorly fleshed out scenes that feels tired. Worn out. Like Travis..
