I felt at times that I wasn’t going to finish the story. I found myself skipping ahead several times just to make it to the end. The story was ok and the narration wasn’t the best.

Started second book of the series and it is excellent. This book however is “meh”. This story lacks vivid descriptions and summarizes important events rather than taking the reader on a futuristic adventure. A real struggle with this book. The narrator is very weak and the words “although” and “however” are said so often its entirely distracting.

The narrator sounds a lot like Jordan Peterson. Same accent and inflections, but a deeper voice. It threw me off a little ?.

I’m loving the books, but I think this is one of my favorite so far!

Was meh. No real character development. Riley comes off winey. Could have been condensed into a blerb or chapter in another book.

Narration is great as always. Bagwell continues to build out his world, and building complicated story lines for his major characters. TBH I wasn’t going to read this series, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. On to Hellion!
