A seamless continuation of the first book that brings more life to the characters, pun intended. I am excited to listen to the next book!

A seamless continuation of the first book that brings more life to the characters, pun intended. I am excited to listen to the next book!
Unfortunately the narration- where every character sounded dumpy and slow took too much away from the stories. A few were really great, especially Jonathan Maberry- as usual. But the final one by Laird Barron was too disjointed and bizarre and didn’t end it in a satisfying way. I’ve enjoyed Barron’s stuff in the past- especially..
This book, like all of the Awaken online series, is another amazing addiction. I’ve been waiting for Flame to come out so I can buy both kindle and audiobook. My favorite moment is when he finally accepts the flame and gets a taste of what he can become. My friend and I have been waiting..
I wasnt keen on the narrator and that opinion didn’t change by the end of the book. He seemed to be a bit more comfortable at the end of the story. Hopefully, he will be better in the next book. Once the story got going I was able to tolerate his cadence. This speaks volumes..
I’m not a review writer for sure but this book is a twist on the normal vr take. The bad guys side! You actually root for the bad guy, genius!
I love the AO series, and starting back at the beginning with a new protagonist just expands the entire world that much more. I cant wait for FLAME and more from Travis Bagwell!
This is overall an amazing book. It’s well written and has an interesting main character. Like his other books, the main character is smart and relies on his intelligence to create plans. I really like that on both characters. The only complaint I have is that the Mc “mumbles” all the time. I felt like..
I loved the story and it really drew me in. The only problem I had with it was the frequency of the swearing, but that’s my personal preference. The story was creative and kept me laughing. Maybe I should have turned down the fire setting though. ? If you’re a gamer, I think you’ll enjoy..
Every minute of this book was breathtaking. The insight into the X-1 test program and the courage of the men involved is inspirational.
