i love this guy. even reading the sie quests out of order is good. Eliza had way more potential than initially thought.
This is a really good second book in a series.I loved Oathbreaker and this picks up where that left off.Alana gets captured and figures she will die,but doesn’t.There is a quest to rescue her. It’s full of twists and turns and magic. David Stifel was a fine narrator, again. I was given this free review copy..
I listened to this because I thought it might be necessary reading for the story, not expecting much, but it was actually pretty amazing. Moving on to book 3 I have a whole lot more love for Riley now!
In the end, I would guess this story was in fact worth it, for no other reason than it was an acceptable continuation of the Lovecraftian Mythos. Story wasn’t as good as the first book, but second books rarely are. Looking forward to more though!
Smashing story; well-paced on a crescendo of action blended with just enough intrigue and a steady blossoming of the greater picture of a burgeoning space opera. Not quite as nuts-and-bolts as my usual preference with science fiction, but such isn’t missed in the grand scheme of things. The narrator in this particular recording is… my..
couldn’t get through the second chapter, I just really didn’t like the reader. the story sounds interesting and I will pickup with book two because Mark Boyet took over and I enjoy his reading style.
