I listened to this immediately after finishing “The Association.” They are practically the same book, just with different details. I enjoyed the writing and the story (do not like the narrator’s voice or enunciation at all), BUT it was just too similar to the other book. Am now wondering if all of this author’s works..

I had to constantly adjust my volume to hear him low talk volume Reader talked too low during soft talk.

Had me addicted from the first chapter, honestly wasnt sure of the exact monster origin until I was half way through. Great take on this specific fiend. i did get some reminiscenses of Salems Lot, Midnight Mass and The Strain. Really enjoed the performance and will be circling back to listen again!

I thought the book was great, reading the other reviews though it seems there is mixed feelings and take aways. I laughed out loud while listening to this at work. I thought the ending was a interesting way of going about it. Can’t wait for the next book!
