I read a lot of LitRPG and this was refreshing. I found the beginning to be interesting. I enjoyed the story being contained in a LitRPG world. This isn’t novel but there are too many quick isekai starts in books. I found the story to be compelling and the game system to be well thought..

Goodness get another narrator, the performance was terrible. Killed the story for me. It was that bad.
I enjoyed this immersive story. The main thread of different peoples’ lives converging at some point was also dotted with short “interludes” that were a pleasant surprise digression from the main story theme but nevertheless still somehow supportive.

Definitely not like the Silencer or the Eliminator. I don’t know what I didn’t care for if it was the story line that didn’t really captivate me or if it was the person reading it.
The narrative allows for a thorough exploration of climate change and global responses. It turns a story about a committee at the UN into a fascinating case study on potential challenges -and solutions- facing the world.

I loved, loved the 2 main characters. Their witty reparté kept you entertained throughout a smoldering entry into their new reality. The elements of an Apocalypse but, more. The elements of their reality and every up and down emotion you’d expect to face when the world goes crazy in front of your eyes.

Enjoyed the book and will definitely continue the series. The performance was mediocre at best though and didn’t add anything to the overall story. Hopefully the narration improves in the next book.

I can only hope and wish for the all-encompassing processes listed in this novel to come true before it is too late for our planet. A superb all-around and thought-provoking piece, greatly enhanced by the multiplicity of languages and accents with incredible strings of stories all woven together.
