I got this at no cost with my audible subscription so wasn’t expecting a lot. I was very pleasantly surprised. Solid story. Great characters. Looking forward to the next one. Definitely worth a credit!

The concept could have been great. There were way too many side stories. Way too many rants and stories that went off on the two main characters. Failed to keep my attention.
I have always enjoyed Kim Stanley Robinson’s previous books, Years of Rice and Salt being one of my favorites, and this did not let me down. I love telling a story by those that participate in it and the voice cast in the production is amazing. Now the question is, will anyone take heart the..

I read this first and the picked up the audio since my job lets me listen to books all day. I loved this series. Tons of action and awesome references. if you like ready player one then I can’t recommend this series to you enough. can’t wait for book 3.
It’s a decent enough story. However, the author still makes the hero do unnecessary stupid things. There are better ways to create tension. I hope he grows out of this trend and becomes more creative. Speaking of creative, he relies too much on pop culture references.
this book works well. it’s a fun mashup up sci-fi and fantasy. the world building is excellent, pacing is fast even if the middle drags a bit, it goes by quick. just bought the second book, I’m eager to see where this goes.
