Bought this one to listen to while on a 16 hour drive to make it go faster. It did not. The book goes over the same things over and over again. It became monotonous and boring. The SAME thing over and over.

performance was fine, story left me meh. Won’t pick up the next one or listen even if it’s free too

Lots of great ideas and a terrific overall message… But although the Scottish reader had a wonderful accent the pronunciation of German words and places in the many chapters set in Switzerland was so far off it was quite hard to listen to. I’d recommend reading this one rather than listening to it.

The story is one of the most horrible things you will ever hear. I watched the special on TV and couldn’t wait to listen to the book. I barely made it through it. The author would repeat the same thing at least 5 times. I kept checking to see if my player had somehow skipped..

The first chapters of this book hit home dramatically. Maybe it is because we had a heat dome last year in BC that kill more people in a few days than that month in the pandemic. The book talks about economics realistically, of course, this will piss off capital. Must read book.

How else can the protagonist and the heros of this story be described ? Schwartz and Co. are twenty first century superheroes, just as assuredly as the murderer is a twenty first century plague.

This is how these books should be great escapism. Great pacing, good transition explanation, and action with love interests without too much explicitness.
