One of the smartest and most life-changing books I have ever listened to – the performance of the audiobook is particularly spectacular.
It was hard for me to get past the first few chapters, glad I did.
The opening chapter was a gripping vision of the climate crisis. Tragic and human and engaging… Then endless pages about central banks and Zurich. While not completely uninteresting, the climate crisis seemed to end in India and be consumed with seemingly understandable acts of terrorism and endless bloviating of governments, apparently not suffering the effects..
Thoroughly researched, and not slanted except to the truth, this recounts what actually happwned to the people thrown together into an epic survival recounting, and the price paid over time by those who survived. Well written and read.
Richly described, here is the future we do not need to experience. Instead we might rediscover our sovereignty, uncork that fountain of love within, and proceed without fear into a world we layer with beauty in bliss.
