Not denying the climate change and the need to reform, but this book is plain boring and enormously long. There is no storyline whatsoever, voices are quite bad. Don’t recommend even if your name is Greta
Charlie and his expanding crew seemed to be no match for Vesla Dominus which stirs much frustrations when reading it but hang with it and you will enjoy the book to the end.
If the White male author had not been so concerned about not being a racist, it could have been much better. For instance (Spoiler) there’s a scene in which Bill’s wife (who is Black) has to save them so she says she’s a representative from (forget the name) a Black nation in Southern California there..
I feel like I’m listening to an off-brand version of the Sylvan series. I am incredibly annoyed with how this new narrator pronounces character names and locations as well as his accents for characters that were also in the books of the first series. It’s off-putting. I miss the original narrator and if nothing else..
i love this series and narrator but gary bennett needs to up his game by pronouncing words correctly. he mispronounces often in the book. thats why i didnt rate this novel 5 stars.i hope the next novel is a better effort in this regard, since it is most likely the last in the series.
